This episode: “Grief” (March 2021) — Dr. Jo Christner
This is a moment of healing.
When you’re grieving it’s really difficult to figure out what you’re supposed to do next. It’s difficult just to feel like you can get your feet on the ground. It feels like the whole world has been turned upside down.
You might really even feel lost. One of the ways you can allow yourself to feel a little more grounded is to know that it’s okay to visit your grief. You don’t have to stay in it or get consumed by it. You just need to visit it. Then it’s okay to visit the things that are helping you through.
These are things that help you to feel better or take you out of your grief for a little while. Even if it’s just for a moment. It’s in between these two moments — that moment of allowing yourself to feel your sadness, confusion and grief… and that moment of going to the things that help you.
Like gardening. Like grandchildren. Like pets. Like crafts. Like taking a walk in nature. Allowing yourself to step into your grief and then allowing yourself to step out of your grief are ways to heal.
Wishing you much love and light in healing your heart… moment by moment.
